Inspiring Change: How Beautiful Soul is Shaping the Future of Senegalese Youth

Senegal is undergoing a leadership transformation, with youth-focused initiatives driving positive change. Beautiful Soul, a Dakar-based organization, plays a key role by helping young Senegalese build essential soft skills. My experience with Beautiful Soul began in October 2024 when I co-facilitated group coaching sessions as part of the program Force N. These sessions, aimed at improving behavioral skills related to employability, were transformative, not only for the youth but also for me as a mentor. I was able to personally experience the power of Beautiful Soul's "Appreciative Inquiry" methodology, which encourages participants to explore their strengths, overcome their doubts, and set clear goals for their future..

One of the most inspiring aspects of this experience was witnessing the transformation of the participants and seeing them gain confidence in themselves. Many of them started by doubting their abilities, but by the end of each bootcamp, they expressed themselves with assurance and fully embraced their strengths. The coaching approach helped them step out of their comfort zones and tackle challenges with resilience, moving from doubt to confidence. I saw them recognize their talents and their ability to contribute significantly to their communities, which deeply impacted me..

Beautiful Soul extends its impact beyond the initial bootcamp by offering a 12-week practical program with audio content and hands-on exercises. 

This content and these exercises are shared through a WhatsApp community. They have been recorded by role models from the ecosystem, digital sector, education, and employability, including Tamba Ngom du Fondation Mastercard, Mamadou Djigo of the start-up Kaikai et Coura Sene de Wave Mobile Money, who contributed to creating engaging and inspiring content.
